Some Office Tips and Tricks:
Harbourview has a new office! We are now located at 8963 Hwy 93 In Midland. It was a lot of work, but when you have professional crews working in house, you get professional results. Our crews brought this office from dark and dingy, to clean and bright. Now for those of you who are in an office yourselves I thought I would share a few office life hacks to make your work day a little brighter.
Cleaning your Keyboard made easy:
Use folded tape to get in those nasty hard to reach areas of your keyboard. This is a must especially during cold and flu season, and even more so if you share a work station! (The back of a sticky note works well too)
Make your own cold pack:
There’s nothing worse than a soggy lunch. Keep it fresh by making your own freezer pack. Simply place and seal a wet sponge into a Ziploc sandwich bag and pop it in the freezer.
Too hot to handle?:
Have you ever worked so hard that your laptop shutdown from overheating? Probably not if you’re taking time from work to read this. But if you want to keep your computer cool, look to your fridge for some answers. You can use an old egg carton to act like a heat sink to help vent and keep your laptop running. That way you can keep working even on the hottest of days (sorry).
Organize your cords with clips:
Just clip onto the edge of your desk and feed the wires through to hold them in place. That way they’re ready, accessible, and best of all organized.
Speaking of cords: Use an old spring from a pen to keep your cords from twisting and ultimately fraying.
